Meet Kendrick
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth grew up in Compton, CA, a town in the suburbs of Los Angeles. As a child, he was surrounded by drugs, violence, and many other things that young kids shouldn't be around. Everyday he would go to school he would see homeless people standing on the side of the road. While other kids on his bus would be smoking and making fun of them, Kendrick wouldn't say anything. He felt bad for these people on the side of the road who had no direction in life and nowhere to go. This and many other problems influenced him to become a rapper. Unlike many other modern rappers, Kendrick doesn't prefer to rap about drugs or money etc. Instead, he likes to rap about what did influence him. Now, he wants to make an even bigger change in the world, which is why he decided to go on tour. Kendrick will not be making any profit during this event. All proceeds go directly to the Habitat for Humanity. Kendrick himself chose this charity because of the way he felt looking at those poor people on the side of the road so many years ago.
